I go to Family Farm and Home often to get animal supplies for my sanctuary, unfortunately around the warmer months I always see baby chickens, ducks, and turkeys crammed in bins, I also see rabbits on occasion that are crammed into bins as well or tiny cages.

There are so many issues already, like how rabbits are the third most surrendered animals in shelters and these birds are so commonly exploited, like chickens, chickens are the most abused animals on the planet.

And unfortunately that's what happens to most of the birds sold at these stores, they'll be exploited and killed for "food" once they're bought. Same with the rabbits as well with most buyers.

I recently witnessed my neighbor kill 5 ducks that were from Family Farm and Home all due to the fact that they were males and no one wanted any male ducks because there were too many already that people were trying to rehome.

I've also witnessed abuse within these stores before the animals get purchased, there are so many baby birds crammed into one bin that they're stacked on top of each other, the rabbits hyperventilate because of stress, they constantly have low or dirty water and they hardly get any healthy food, all they get are dull pellets.

 

 

These poor animals need help, Family Farm and Home is not a pet store, so they shouldn't be selling animals like one.

Please urge this store to end its sales of live animals..
