Good news.People from Victoria, B.C. to Halifax, N.S. ,13 U.S. states and Mexico have signed this petition demonstrating that this is a wide reaching problem.

Disappointing news.  While support is broad, it is very shallow. only 84 people from B.C. and 42 from Ontario have signed.  Will either government take notice let alone act on this issue?

Good news. This petition has been viewed 5786 times.

Disappointing news. Only 216 of those 5786 viewers have signed.  That's less than 4%.  Do 96% of those reading the petition honestly believe that this is not a serious issue?  Do they believe that it will never affect them?  Why so much apathy?

This petition has only been shared 67 times, just over1% of times viewed. I know that I am personally responsible for most if not all of those shares.  The real power of the internet is the ability to SHARE information.  PLEASE SHARE THIS PETITION!!!

Good news. Of the 216 who have signed only 41, less than 20% are friends of mine. This demonstrates that there is broad support beyond my sphere of influence.  Thank you for your support!

Disappointing news. According to Facebook, I have over 3,000 "friends".  Where are you?  I have several hundred personal contacts on my email accounts.  Where are all of you?  Some of the names missing from this petition are both surprising and extremely disappointing.
