Dear Minister Dix
I originally contacted you about this issue several months ago. I was advised by your staff to forward my complaint to the Patient Care Quality Review Board. Forwarded below is their response.
What steps will your Ministry take to investigate and correct this growing crisis in Patient Homecare?
Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Ron Broda

Dear Ron Broda,
Thank you for your email regarding your experience with private Home Support Services.
The Board can only proceed with a review of a care quality complaint as defined under the Patient Care Quality Review Board Act. A care quality complaint is a complaint respecting the delivery of health care, or services relating to health care; and/or the quality of health care or services relating to health care that an individual received, or expected but did not receive, from a health authority.
The correspondence received from you does not indicate your complaint meets the above requirements of a care quality complaint and therefore the Review Board is unable to review this matter.
From your correspondence, we recognize you have already contacted the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health is the correct avenue to pursue in order to have your voice heard about changes to how private and public home care are accessed.
If you have any questions regarding the review process please contact us at
1-866-952-2448. You may also visit our website at: www.patientcarequalityreviewboard.ca for more information on the review process.
Sincerely,
Michelle,
