PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA: TAKE ACTION NOW — JUSTICE AND PROTECTION FOR WOMEN IN SOUTH AFRICA
The killings of women in Kempton Park have once again forced South Africa to confront a painful reality: women across our country are living in fear.

Women are telling us that they no longer feel safe. They are living with constant fear about whether they will make it home safely, whether they can trust their surroundings, and whether the authorities will be able to protect them when they need help.

This cannot continue.

The recent killings in Kempton Park must not be treated as isolated incidents. They must become a national call to action.

We call on President Cyril Ramaphosa and the South African Government to urgently strengthen the country's response to violence against women and ensure that every woman — regardless of where she lives — can live without fear.

We demand:

Urgent and coordinated investigations into the killings of women and girls.
Maximum mobilisation of law enforcement to identify, arrest and bring perpetrators before the courts.
Accountability where there have been failures, negligence or unacceptable delays in protecting victims.
Greater visibility and responsiveness from law enforcement in communities where women feel unsafe.
Regular public updates on major cases involving the killing or disappearance of women.
Stronger preventative measures to protect women before they become victims.
Justice, answers and support for the families of women who have been killed.
And if extraordinary, lawful measures are required to give law enforcement the resources and time necessary to get to the bottom of a serious pattern of killings — even if the Government has to consider temporarily restricting movement in affected areas or taking other exceptional measures — then those options must be seriously considered within the law.

We cannot continue with business as usual while women are afraid to walk, travel, work, socialise or simply live their lives.

Mr President, women are telling you they are afraid.

Listen to them.

Act before another woman becomes a statistic.

This petition is a national call for protection, accountability and justice for women in South Africa.

WE ARE NOT ASKING FOR PROMISES.
WE ARE CALLING FOR ACTION.
Protect women. Find the perpetrators. Hold failures accountable. Deliver justice.

SIGN THIS PETITION AND DEMAND ACTION FOR WOMEN ACROSS SOUTH AFRICA.
