End the Grindadráp Whale and Dolphin Hunts in the Faroe Islands

End the Grindadráp Whale and Dolphin Hunts in the Faroe Islands
Das Problem
Every year, pilot whales and dolphins are driven into shallow waters and killed in a traditional hunt known as the Grindadráp in the Faroe Islands.
While this practice is defended as tradition, in 2026 we must ask whether tradition alone is a valid reason to continue large-scale suffering of intelligent marine animals.
We call for an end to the Grindadráp hunts and for a transition toward more humane and sustainable practices that respect marine life.
Tourism and international attention can play a powerful role in encouraging change. We ask travelers to reconsider visiting destinations where such practices continue.
Change is possible - but only if we speak up.
