Inmates of Angola Prison compete to best wild bulls and horses in dangerous sporting events for the  entertainment of the general public each Fall. Louisiana Travel even lures tourists to watch the brutal events, centering the physical endurance of untrained prisoners: “Trade in the cowboys for prison inmates and watch as the wild events unfold!”. A part of the profits are meant to go back into the pockets of prisoners, but tens of thousands of dollars are unaccounted for, according to the State of Louisiana.
