This petition is born out of personal frustration and a deep sense of injustice. A close friend has been forced into an endless cycle of demoralising tasks to prove that her adult son, who has lifelong disabilities, is unable to work. Despite his condition being well-documented throughout his life, she must repeatedly demonstrate his incapacity.

This isn't an isolated case; thousands of parents across the UK are subjected to this same exhausting process. It's time we question where the paper trail leads and why it seems to disappear when these young adults reach working age.

We demand that the government review its procedures for young adults with disabilities seeking support the current system places undue burden on families already dealing with significant challenges. It's time for change.
