Sensory issues are a common symptom of autism and various neurodivergencies, so it's a good thing that Cineplex offers sensory friendly screenings of movies in order to help people with autism have a feeling of normalcy at the movies. However, Autism Speaks is not a good company to pair with. Autism Speaks has been and still continues to be harmful to the autistic community with their claims that autism can be cured and their various controversial advertisements including the infamous "I Am Autism" commerical and the Peta/Autism Speaks billboard claiming that cow's milk is a cause of autism. 

If we win, the ideal solution is Cineplex will change who they pair with for their sensory friendly screenings. A good choice is Autism Canada. If we lose, nothing will change and Autism Speaks will be associated with a positive thing. With our signatures, we can get Cineplex to make a difference and end their partnership with Autism Speaks.
