The Issue

As a citizen deeply affected by the current status quo, I urge you to reconsider the funding of the BBC via the TV License. There are grave concerns about the alleged crimes perpetuated by a number of individuals within this institution, including figures like Huw Edwards and others, who are reportedly under charges for horrific acts against children.

It's extremely alarming that our hard-earned funds are being used to support an institution that is, in part, reportedly sustaining such horrifying incidents. In addition, the BBC is frequently criticized for its alleged bias and propagation of radical content, further exacerbating public discontent and trust issues.

Every year, 25.5 million UK households pay an annual license fee of £157.50 to fund the BBC's radio, TV, and online services (source: BBC's financial report 2020). However, many have expressed their dissatisfaction with the way their money is being used and are calling for a halt in this compulsory annual payment.

Thus, it becomes crucial to stop the TV License until a thorough and transparent investigation is done, and satisfactory corrective measures are implemented. We insist on the abolition of the current system to send an unequivocal message that such actions will not be financed by public funds. Please sign this petition to put an end to the TV License and demand accountability from our national institutions.
