Petition updateEnd the Ban on Zenefits in UtahOn Our Way! Utah House Committee Votes to Support Innovation

Zenefits
Feb 11, 2015
This week, Utah took an important step toward lifting the ban on Zenefits. The House Business and Labor Committee voted to pass Rep. Knotwell's bill (HB 141) by a margin of 12-2! Because of you, members of the committee heard from more than 1,300 people from across Utah and beyond who believe that the state should embrace innovation and competition.
And the momentum continued with Utah Governor Gary Herbert releasing a statement after the vote saying that he "urges the Legislature to pass this bill without delay."
It's all great news, but it's just the first step. The bill will go before the full Utah House in the next couple of weeks, and you can be sure that the entrenched incumbents are going to be fighting hard against opening the market to competition. So, we can't let up! We need your help so that all 75 members of the legislature hear your voices.
Here's what you can do: share this petition with your friends, family, colleagues, and anyone you know who agrees with you that technology companies shouldn't be shut down when they compete with existing industries.
If we keep it up, I know that innovation and competition can win in Utah. Thanks!
