The Issue

I am writing to urgently request your immediate attention to ongoing practices that are preventing U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents from reuniting with their immediate family members—parents, spouses, and children—despite fully complying with all legal immigration requirements.

Under U.S. immigration law, family reunification is a fundamental principle for both citizens and lawful permanent residents. Yet many families who have done everything legally—filed approved petitions, paid all required fees, completed interviews, and submitted all documentation—are being denied the opportunity to reunite with their loved ones. Unexplained delays and substitute temporary measures continue to keep families separated without clear justification.

This is deeply unfair. When families follow the law in good faith, they should not be punished by losing the opportunity to reunite with their parents, spouses, and children. These practices have caused prolonged and unnecessary family separation, particularly harming elderly parents, children, and families with urgent humanitarian needs.
I respectfully request your immediate intervention to:

Review and correct the practices blocking lawful family reunification for U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents;

Advocate for the prompt issuance of immigrant visas in accordance with the law;
Ensure transparency, accountability, and timely communication for affected families.

This is not a political issue. It is a matter of fairness, legality, and the fundamental right of families to remain united.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this urgent matter.
Respectfully,
