Once again the parents of Somerset County are being forced into buying multiple wardrobes for our children because of the county “uniform attire” policy. The policy was started to see if it would reduce bullying; it has not! The only thing this policy has done is put a financial burden on parents in an already struggling county.  But for some reason, the BOE will not listen to the parents of their students. No other county surrounding us still entertains this idea because they listened to their parents when they realized it was fruitless; it did nothing but stress and strain the parents. Let’s not even start on the cost of this if you have multiple children and/or children who participate in extracurricular activities! 
We are already struggling in this county to pay our household bills and keep food on the table. Please  support us and help get our voices heard by signing this petition to hopefully end this uniform attire policy.
