End Puppymills and Limit Breeding of Unspayed Female Dogs

The Issue

As a long-time animal advocate, I've witnessed the heartbreaking reality of our current system. Every year, we spend millions of taxpayer dollars to house, feed, and tragically euthanize unwanted dogs in shelters across the U.S. Meanwhile, puppymill owners continue to profit from neglecting and abusing these animals for their own gain. This is not just an issue of animal welfare; it's an issue of economic injustice.

We are calling for an end to puppymills and a limit on the number of unspayed female dogs that can be kept for breeding purposes to 2. It is unacceptable that while thousands of healthy, adoptable dogs are being killed in shelters through no fault of their own, others are profiting from producing more puppies.

The American Kennel Club (AKC), despite its stated mission to promote responsible dog ownership and breeding practices, has failed to take effective action against this problem. We believe it's time for change.

By signing this petition you're saying "No more!" No more unnecessary suffering for these innocent creatures; no more wasteful spending on housing excess animals; no more allowing those who exploit animals for profit to go unchecked.

Let us stand together as a country committed to not only saving one animal at a time, but also addressing the root cause - ending puppymills and irresponsible breeding once and for all! Sign today!
