PiMM Fridays, also known as Partners in Mission and Ministry, is a new program launched this year that requires Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors to relinquish their freedom during their CURA period on Fridays to attend a mandatory meeting in the Leontyne Chapel. This meeting mimics a spiritual class similar to what a typical Bellarmine religion class teaches. Many believe this program is unnecessary and infringes on the limited time of the students who have other duties and obligations they must fulfil. For example, if one's PiMM Friday lands at the end of the day, students are required to stay for the entire hour. This conflicts with many students who need this time to complete their homework before practices or after-school activities, and creates scheduling conflicts for students who need to leave campus during their end of day CURA period. Thus, the Bellarmine Student Body wishes to amend this program so that it may fit the needs of the faculty running it, and not infringe upon the students' free time.
