Please sign and share this petition to encourage our government representatives and necessary agencies to stop Michael Flynn from inciting more violence and another J6 insurgency.  As a citizen of the USA, I am deeply concerned about the planning and execution of illegal insurgencies.

 

Concern: That statements and activities by retired Lt. General Michael Flynn indicate that he appears to have encouraged Trump supporters to use force on Jan. 6, 2021 and, since then, appears to be preparing people to use force in a possible second violent coup attempt in 2024/2025, potentially posing a danger and putting public safety at risk.

 

Background: Michael Flynn led Army intelligence in Afghanistan and Iraq. Experienced in psychological operations, he is skilled at manipulating target audiences to think in ways that helped him achieve military goals. Forced resignations ended Flynn’s jobs as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and as National Security Advisor. Since 2020, Flynn has emerged as a vocal leader on the far-right, promoting a political movement that mixes Christian nationalism, conspiracy theories, and documented calls to violence.

 

Promoting Conspiracy Theories:

Flynn’s background in the military and the national security world gives him status most conspiracy theorists lack. Between his tours, books, movie, and interviews, Flynn’s influence is large. Millions of Americans view the world through Flynn’s lens, which includes these conspiracy theories:

• New World Order: There is a global conspiracy working to destroy capitalist nations and replace them with a world-wide Marxist government. At the top of this conspiracy are the Chinese Communist Party, George Soros, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and the World Economic Forum. • Covid 19 Conspiracies: Globalist Marxist elites created the Covid 19 pandemic and the US government used this invented crisis to take further control and to distract from the alleged 2020 election theft. An avid anti-vaxxer, Flynn spread Covid rumors, including that unknown sources were planning to put the vaccine in salad dressing. 
  
  
• Stolen 2020 Election: Globalist elites and aligned forces in the US stole the election from Trump, who won by a landslide. Flynn has promoted a range of election conspiracy theories, blaming everyone from foreign governments to election workers to voting machine manufacturers.
  
  
• QAnon: In July 2020, Flynn posted a video of himself and family members appearing to recite the QAnon oath. Flynn speaks on QAnon podcasts and at events, and his tours feature QAnon promoters. Many QAnon followers view Flynn as central to the movement. The phrase “digital soldiers,” which Flynn trademarked, is a QAnon rallying cry.

 

Appearing to Promote the Use of Force:

Dec. 12, 2020: At the Jericho March in Washington, DC—Flynn’s first appearance after Trump pardoned him for charges of lying to the FBI—Flynn spoke to a volatile crowd that included QAnon supporters, Proud Boys, and Oath Keepers. Alleging a stolen election, he advised attendees to rise to “be fearless as Americans,” willing to put themselves “in harm’s way” to “sacrifice for the country they love.” Photographed at the event with Flynn was Oathkeeper leader Stuart Rhodes, now serving an 18-year term for seditious conspiracy related to Jan. 6th.

Dec. 17, 2020: In an interview on Newsmax, Flynn stated that Trump could order the military to rerun the election in swing states.

Dec. 18, 2020: In a heated Oval Office meeting with Trump, White House lawyers, and allies of Flynn, a reportedly screaming Flynn recommended that Trump use his special powers to declare a national security emergency and seize Dominion voting machines, which he baselessly claimed were rigged as part of a globalist Communist plot to steal the election.  Hours later, Trump tweeted, “Big protest in D.C. on January 6th. Be there, will be wild!”

Jan. 5, 2020: At a “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington, DC the evening before Jan. 6th, Flynn told the audience: “In our DNA we feel freedom, we bleed freedom, we will sacrifice for freedom…The members of Congress, those of you who are feeling weak tonight, those of you that don’t have the moral fiber in your body, get some tonight because tomorrow, we the people are going to be here, and we want you to know that we will not stand for a lie!”

Spring 2021:  A few months after the Jan. 6th insurrection, Flynn began the ReAwaken America Tour. This national roadshow has continued into 2024. Mixing Christian nationalism, conspiracy theories, and seeming calls to violence, Flynn and other speakers recruit attendees to get involved in the alleged spiritual and political war that pits good against evil. According to Flynn, “I have fought these bastards around the world, OK? And, the worst battles I have – sadly, sadly – the worst battles, the worst war that I am involved in, is in my own country.” 

Memorial Day Weekend, 2021: At the “For God and Country Patriot Roundup” in Dallas, TX, attended by QAnon supporters, Flynn appeared to endorse a military coup overthrowing the US government. When referring to the recent Myanmar military coup that overthrew civilian leadership with unproven claims of voter fraud, an attendee asked, “…why what happened in Myanmar can’t happen here?,” Flynn replied, “No reason; I mean it should happen here.” 

July 16, 2021: At the Church of Glad Tidings in Yuba City CA, when gifted a semi-automatic rifle and told by the gift giver that “this is one of our top quality guns,” Flynn responded, “Maybe I’ll find somebody in Washington, DC.”

June 28, 2022: At the House January 6th Committee hearing, when Representative Liz Cheney asked Flynn “do you believe the violence on Jan. 6th was justified” morally and legally, to both questions, Flynn pleaded the Fifth. When Cheney asked, “Do you believe in the peaceful transition of power in the United States of America?” Flynn again replied, “The Fifth.” 

Dec. 28, 2023: During an Info Wars interview with Alex Jones, Flynn appeared to prepare listeners for violent conflict, saying: “I don’t raise my voice that much, but when I do, it means that we are moving to…we’re moving towards the sound of the guns here folks.” 

June 27, 2024: Flynn tweeted a link to a website selling the FlynnLock, a semiautomatic rifle for “patriots” named after him. The website also sells related accessories, handguns, and knives. 

 

SUMMARY:  As retired four-star General Paul D. Eaton said on Vice TV’s ‘The Search for Q’, Season Two: "The question that should be posed to the Secretary of Defense — ‘What are you doing about this renegade retired lt. general, that is a great mystery to all of us.’ Mr. Flynn should be brought back on active duty and given a trial for offenses that I believe he has committed.”

We believe that Mike Flynn represents a clear and present danger to the safety of all Americans and urge you to sign and share this petition so those tasked with keeping us safe in America -- our government representatives and appropriate agencies -- take the necessary steps to stop Michael Flynn from inciting more violence and another January 6 level insurgency, which we feel may be national this time and far more violent.
