Dear Supporters, Today, The Just Why Movement joined the Maryland Crime Victims’ Resource Center (MCVRC) at the Maryland House of Delegates in Annapolis, continuing our mission to ensure justice remains victim-centered. We are meeting with delegates to discuss House Bill 853, urging them to amend the bill to exclude violent offenders — especially those convicted of first- and second-degree murder. This movement is not just about the tragic loss of Vincent Anthony Fisher III, but about every innocent life stolen by acts of violence. The #JustWhyMovement was born out of heartbreak but built on hope — a hope that no loved one is left behind and that the lives of victims will always matter more than legal loopholes. Pressing through the grief and agony of Vincent’s murder, the Fisher family is opening the doors for everyone to be heard — to hear the voices of the voiceless and to give space to every family and survivor who has endured similar pain. This loss has been suffered by too many in our state, and together, we can demand change that reflects compassion, fairness, and accountability.
