Petition updateEND LENIENCY FOR MURDERERS AGES 18–25: PASS THE NATIONAL YOUTH ACCOUNTABILITY ACTA New Partnership for Victims’ Rights in Maryland

Today, I am humbled and proud to share a major step forward in this fight for justice. I had the honor of meeting with Roberta Roper, founder of the Maryland Crime Victims’ Resource Center (MCVRC), and Executive Director Kurt Wolfgang. Out of that meeting came something powerful: a new partnership between The JUST WHY Movement and MCVRC.
As a mother who lost my son, Vincent Anthony Fisher III, to senseless violence, advocacy is not just my mission — it is my purpose. I carry the pain of every victim’s family with me, and it fuels my determination to ensure that victims’ voices are heard and respected.
Together with MCVRC, we are taking a stand here at home in Maryland against policies like the Second Look Act that undermine accountability and reopen wounds for families already devastated by loss. Our message is clear: justice reform must never come at the expense of victims.
This is just the beginning. Maryland will be the first wave of change — and with your support, we will carry this movement across the nation.
Thank you for standing beside me and every victim’s family. Please continue to share this petition and help us build the momentum we need. Together, we will make justice stronger, not weaker.
