Kill shelters should be banned because they continue to euthanize thousands of healthy animals that still have a chance at life. Many of these animals are in good health and could be adopted, but are euthanized because of overcrowding or lack of resources. Banning kill shelters would force shelters to take initiative to find homes for these animals, such as partnering with rescue groups or increasing their adoption efforts. It's important to give animals a chance at life and find them loving homes, rather than resorting to euthanasia as a solution.
