End harmful chocolate!!

End harmful chocolate!!

The Issue

Whenever you buy chocolate, your children or you (if you’re a kid) will be delighted. But other children, like the child slaves that were used to make your chocolate, will not be as happy.

They get a maximum of 5$ a week for their hard work and most of the children that work in the chocolate industry have slits in their hands because the cocoa pods are huge and each child must use a knife, machete or sharp object to slice the pod open. The machete usually cuts the child’s skin along with the pod. You can clearly see that this is a very painful process. (There may literally be blood in your chocolate.)

There is another kind of bad chocolate. Brands like Kinder Egg Surprise have  plastic toys inside the egg that are harmful to sea creatures that are exposed to the pollution. (Every year 100,000 sea animals die from plastic pollution.)

You can stop these horrors by participating in this chocolate boycott. Please sign your name to pledge that you will not buy harmful chocolate.

Instead choose other chocolate brands. The top four chocolate brands that are friendly to humans and animals are:

Alter Eco
Tony’s Chocoloney
Whittaker’s
Chocolats/Halba: Sunray

The top three chocolate brands that are not friendly to either humans or animals:

Hershey’s (Cookies n’ Creme, Reese’s, Kisses, York Peppermint Pattie, etc.)
Nestlé (Aero, Coffee Crisp, Kit Kat, Smarties, Crunch, Wonka, Butterfinger, etc.)
Mars (M&M’s, Bounty, Dove, Mars bar, 3 Musketeers, Maltesers, Milky Way, Twix, Snickers, etc.)
