Hold the Kern High School District accountable for not preventing the use of weapons at Independence High School's football game, resulting in the death of one teenager and distress towards the students of Independence High School and the community. 

Lives were forever changed after the shooting at Independence High School on August 21, 2026. This tragedy could have been entirely prevented if not for the negligence of the Kern High School District, and the lack of security measures on the campus. 

We are demanding that the Kern High School District provides metal detectors or hand held wands and properly trained security officers to ensure student safety at Independence High School, along with other high schools in the Kern High School District.

Where do you draw the line? What will it take for the Kern High School District to actually have the student's best interest in mind? End gun violence and protect our students.
