End Grand National Horse Racing to Prevent Unnecessary Equine Deaths

The Issue

We've lost horses again, this year, to a sport that's legal only because it generates profit as people pay, watch, and gamble. How is this so different from dog fighting — a sport where the strongest wins, and is justification deemed illegal in many parts of the world?

The Grand National horse racing event is one of the most dangerous for horses, with British Horse Racing Authority statistics revealing that between 2000 and 2010, over 5% of horses died during the races. In the same period, 38 horses lost their lives on the Grand National course itself, as per Animal Aid UK. Each year, we lose beautiful, gentle creatures to a game of chance and pursuit of profit.

The costs are too steep, the losses too profound. We need to stop treating these majestic creatures as disposable commodities.

So, we ask for your voices, calling for an end to the Grand National horse racing. It's time we re-evaluate profit over life, and stand against such cruelty and needless loss. We call upon the policy makers to ban this horrendous sport and uphold the rights of all creatures to live without unjust torment.

Please, sign this petition today. Your signature could be the one that finally brings about change needed to protect these incredible animals from unnecessary harm and death.
