Petition updateEnd Exploitative Animal Events at the Worcester DCUBull-Riding Tools of Torment Ordinance Worcester Quest Update

Yesterday, 2/21/26, the DCU hosted yet another event involving bull-riding.  Protestors from Positive Change for Animals, Boston Animal Advocates, Western MA Animal Advocates, and NH Animal Rights League joined together to demonstrate and provide literature as to why Bull Riding is harmful to animals and unjust.  This demonstration comes as a hopeful last one, as we work with the Worcester City Council Manager's office on a proposed ordinance to ban the use of tools of torment which make the bulls buck and suffer injuries in these rodeo events. We received media coverage in the T&G, the Worcester Guardian, and the Boston Institute for Non-Profit Journalism.  Now we need you, especially if you are a Worcester or nearby resident, to help support our continued efforts to make the ordinance a reality! Please contact Mayor Joseph Petty at mayor@worcesterma.gov or call Phone: 508-799-1153 to voice your complaint about these events.  You can also contact City Council itself: council@worcesterma.gov or on the website at: https://www.worcesterma.gov/city-council/councilors or call
508-799-1049.  Share this petition and make sure everyone in Worcester is aware and ready to help! As always, you are welcome to join us at Positive Change for Animals online: https://www.facebook.com/groups/PositiveChangeforAnimals
