The annual Georgia  Mountain Fair in Hiawassee, Ga., made the inhumane decision to include Exotic Animal Acts for the 2022 Season. The BANANA DERBY occurred at the Georgia Mountain Fair in August 2022. Monkeys are strapped to dogs that race around a track for crowds amusement. Philip Hendricks, owner of the Banana Derby has been CITED by the United States Department of Agriculture, USDA, for FAILING to provide animals with Adequate Space, Environmental Enrichment and Clean, Wholesome Food. The Capuchin Monkeys have been Forced to pose for photos with Tourist which is Dangerous to both Monkeys and Humans.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            The Brunon Blaszak Royal Bengal Tiger Show, currently appearing at the Georgia Fall Festival at the fairgrounds in Hiawassee, has received repeated Citations from the USDA for Failure to provide Sufficient Space for the Animals in his Collection. This included permanently housing Tigers in Travel Cages that DID NOT Allow them to fully Stand, Stretch, and Lie Down. Blaszak has also been Cited for Failing to Provide Tigers with Sufficiently Nutritious Diet.                                                                                                                                                       The SAD REALITY is that such methods used to train Exotic Animals can be ABUSIVE and CRUEL. Such animals are forced to perform tricks that are not a part of natural behaviors. In Addition, traveling with and displaying Wild Animals is UNNATURAL and Extremely STRESSFUL.      After more than 100 YEARS, Barnum & Bailey Circus has STOPPED using EXOTIC Animals in their shows. The Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds have Plenty to Offer Visitors Without using Shows that EXPLOIT ANIMALS. Please help to END such Animal Shows and SIGN the Petition to be the Voice of these Hurting and ABUSED Animals.
