As a single parent struggling to stabilize my family's financial situation, it became alarmingly clear that our household bill has doubled due to Delivery and Supply fees imposed by PEPCO, SMECO and BG&E. For several families like mine, these fees are almost equivalent to the amount we pay for our actual electric usage. This burden has pushed us, and many others, to fall behind our utility payments, causing us undue financial stress. 

This pricing policy is not just an issue for my family but significantly impacts many households grappling with similar circumstances. A concerning number of customers are being charged these excessive fees, causing financial instability. Our reliance on electricity for daily essential needs is being monetized excessively.

PEPCO, SMECO and BG&E is a major utility provider, generating substantial revenue from its customer base. The fairness of such profit margins needs to be questioned when their price structure results in hardship and financial difficulties for numerous families.
