End Euthanasia in Shelters in Santa Clarita

The Issue

We need to ban euthanizations in our community as we are killing thousands of animals every year in shelters. By banning euthanization practices and creating more no-kill shelters in Santa Clarita, we can save the lives of so many homeless animals in our community.

Every year in California alone, over 100,000 animals are put down in shelters. Living in Santa Clarita, I have seen firsthand the limited options available for homeless pets. While there are some great animal shelters in our area, many of them still practice euthanasia as a means of controlling overcrowding. This is simply not acceptable.

We need to ban the practice of euthanization in our animal shelters whilst simultaneously  creating more no-kill shelters in Santa Clarita.

No-kill shelters provide a safe haven for homeless pets until they can find their forever homes. They do not euthanize healthy or treatable animals simply because they don't have enough space or resources to care for them.

By establishing more no-kill shelters in our area, we can give these innocent creatures the chance they deserve to find loving homes with families who will cherish them forever.

According to Best Friends Animal Society, there are currently over 4 million cats and dogs killed each year across the United States due to lack of shelter space and resources. This is unacceptable when we have the power to change it right here in our own community.

Please sign this petition urging local officials and animal welfare organizations to end euthanasia and establish more no-kill shelters in Santa Clarita. Let's give these precious animals the second chance at life they so desperately deserve!
