Many of the vulnerable elderly come face to face with obstacles around these awful acts and this highlights the glaring shortcomings of our present system.

It is mercilessly destroying the lives of vulnerable people who, irrespective of age, deserve nothing but respect, care, and protection. Beyond the immediate damaging effects, research also suggests that elder abuse victims tend to die earlier when compared to those who haven't experienced abuse.
