Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has supported this much needed change so far! My story is just one example of millions of Americans who have been denied necessary health services for the same reason I have - a hypothetical fetus. 

We are getting a ton of national/international attention about this petition and we are well on our way to having enough support to bring this in front of our government and call for new legislation. Not only are we on the front page of local news papers, but we have been featured on the front page of Jezebel, with many international and national coverage to come.

Since this story has hit the media, I have unfortunately felt the repercussions of bringing this issue to light.
When I visited a hospital on Wednesday (a hospital 45 minutes away from where the original incident took place), I was bombarded by 6 hospital staff and security. I was discharged from the hospital, threatened by doctors and nurses with legal action, and told that all of the local hospitals were calling each other to find my whereabouts. Unbelievable as it sounds, I have the whole incident recorded and you can listen to the recordings here:

As terrifying as it is to be blacklisted from medical care in my area simply for bringing this issue to light, it has fueled me even more to push for change. There is now no question in my mind that this isn't a systemic issue that is supported by our medical system. 

There is more media coverage of this to come. For now, please share the petition with those you know. We truly have a chance to change things.
