We’re asking for help to make our first campaign of the year a success! Our first campaign this year will be a letter-writing campaign leading up to a (closed event) National Government Roundtable, which will be held at the end of the month.
We are encouraging patients, healthcare workers, and industry professionals to share their personal medicinal cannabis story with their local MP to explain why the laws must change. Using digital tools to streamline the process, they will have the option to write an email, a digitised physical letter, or both.
The option to write an email is available now, and can be accessed here at this link.
We'd like you to help us make this campaign a success in three simple ways:
- Share your story about how current drug driving laws are discriminatory; and
- Help raise awareness around this campaign through your social channels by sharing this blogpost
Our hope is that the community reaching out directly through these letters is the best way for the medicinal cannabis patients in the community to speak out against the discriminatory laws and ask for the rights they deserve.
As a follow up to the open letter campaign, the National Roundtable (to be held on 29th March), will facilitate drug driving law education to MPs and government officials in a private forum. The topic of discussion will be the ongoing discriminatory drug laws and what government can do to change it. Please encourage your local MP to attend this roundtable!
We’re thankful to have your continued support as we fight for change and please email us at hello@drivechangemc.org.au if you'd like further information.
