I wanted to share an update and, most importantly, to say thank you.
More than 31,000 people have now signed this petition. Every signature represents someone who believes victim-survivors deserve a justice system that is more compassionate and accountable. I am incredibly grateful for your support.
When I started this petition, I hoped it would begin an important conversation. Thanks to your support, that conversation has continued to grow.
My story has now been featured in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Brisbane Times and news.com.au, helping bring national attention to the experiences of victim-survivors and the need for meaningful reform. In the coming weeks, I'll also be sharing this message with an even wider audience through an upcoming feature on A Current Affair.
Your support has also helped create opportunities for these conversations to reach decision-makers. This week, I will meet with the NSW Attorney General to discuss the issues raised by this petition and the broader reforms needed to improve the experiences of victim-survivors navigating the justice system. While meaningful change takes time, these conversations are an important step forward, and I remain committed to ensuring survivor voices are part of shaping future reform.
Alongside this work, I've recently launched The Echo Campaign, an advocacy initiative dedicated to improving the experience of victim-survivors navigating Australia's justice system after sexual violence. This petition remains at the heart of that work, and every new signature strengthens our collective voice.
