While we need law to protect the environment, CEQA as written is ripe for abuse and in need of reform because it is often exploited by interests whose motivations are not to protect the environment. CEQA litigation abuse is costing jobs, depressing tax revenue, hurting local economic development, making housing less affordable, and wasting taxpayer funds.

We, the undersigned,  are concerned citizens who urge our representatives to initiate and pass true CEQA reform that will stop abuse caused by individuals and organizations, mostly non-environmentalists, who file appeals in order to halt projects they oppose for non-environmental reasons.
