End Breeding at Medicine Creek Kennel Associated with Canine Epilepsy

End Breeding at Medicine Creek Kennel Associated with Canine Epilepsy
The Issue
I, like many other Saint Bernard owners, have endured the suffering and pain of losing their beloved pet to epilepsy - a condition attributable to the irresponsible breeding practices at Medicine Creek Kennel in Cambridge, Nebraska. Norman, prior to his 2nd birthday, my otherwise healthy Saint Bernard developed epilepsy, a terrible affliction that forced us to try countless treatments and lifestyle modifications to alleviate his suffering. Tragically, we lost him on March 10th three months shy of his 3rd birthday, a loss all too familiar to numerous other families who purchased their dogs from the same breeder.
Epilepsy in dogs is generally linked to genetic factors – hereditary epilepsy being the most common type. Breeding dogs from epileptic parents or lines can increase the chance of passing epilepsy to the offspring. Medicine Creek Kennel has been repeatedly accused of breeding dogs from epileptic lines, and as such, they need to be held accountable for the heartache and loss experienced by countless pet owners, like myself.
By speaking up, we have an opportunity to potentially save countless dogs from a lifetime of suffering and their owners from great emotional trauma. The urgency is now: we call upon local regulatory bodies to investigate Medicine Creek Kennel, and upon proving these allegations, ensure they cease all breeding operations for the welfare of these magnificent dogs and their devoted families. Please, join us in our fight to end this cycle of suffering - sign this petition today.
