End Boston's sanctuary city policies

The Issue

Boston’s sanctuary city policies have become a topic of significant concern, especially for those like myself who have witnessed firsthand the detrimental effects they can have on our community. I have seen a rise in the number of illegal immigrants who harbor anti-Black sentiments and fail to respect the rich heritage of African Americans.  Our lineage has deep ties to the founding and building of the United States, yet these values are often disregarded by some who choose to exploit our nation's policies.

Boston has positioned itself as a welcoming city, offering protections to immigrants regardless of their legal status. While the intention may be rooted in compassion, it inadvertently provides a safe haven for individuals who engage in criminal activities, diminishing the safety and security of American citizens. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, sanctuary policies can lead to an increase in crime rates, as they limit law enforcement's ability to cooperate with federal agencies like ICE.

This issue is not just about policy; it’s about protecting the cultural integrity of communities, especially those who have contributed significantly to the country’s development. Ensuring that law enforcement has the tools to effectively address and mitigate criminal activities is crucial for maintaining community safety and cohesion.

A complete review and subsequent termination of Boston’s sanctuary city policies are necessary to prevent the further infiltration of our communities by foreign criminals. This change will allow law enforcement agencies to fully collaborate with federal counterparts to identify and remove individuals who pose a threat to public safety.

We urge Boston’s city officials to reconsider the sanctuary policies that compromise the safety of its citizens and the heritage of the African American community. Sign this petition to demand that Boston prioritizes public safety and respects the invaluable contributions of American citizens and their ancestors by ending its sanctuary city status.
