I have personally witnessed different species of animals, from mice to cows, in labs, all being used in a variety of experiments. Surprisingly, it's not just rodents who suffer from this inhumane practice. Animals ranging from primates, pigs, sheep, dogs, specifically calm-natured beagles, to as unexpected as horses, snakes, and owls, are also included. Their lives, as what we recognize in humans, are significant and deserve freedom from harm.

While the purposes of these experiments range from medical to cosmetic, one thing stands clear - they entail suffering for these creatures. Many animals endure pain, fear, and distress, providing a stark contrast to the enjoyable lives they are entitled to. According to PETA, every year, more than 100 million animals are killed in the U.S laboratories for various tests.

The call to end animal testing is not unheard of; in fact, methods offering alternatives are continually being developed and validated. For example, modern tissue-based epigenetic and genetic tests, computer modeling, and other technological advancements can provide scientifically valid, cost-effective alternatives that spare animals needless pain and suffering.

However, these advancements and alternative methods can only become common practice if we call for it. Therefore, we demand strict regulations against animal testing and seek a more significant commitment to alternative methods.
