Every day, thousands of innocent animals are left without a home, forced to survive on the streets. They deserve our compassion and care.

My personal affinity for animals has led me to take up this cause. Stray animals, with no homes and no one to care for them, are often left to brave the harsh realities of the world on their own. I believe that each one of us, animal lovers or not, can contribute significantly to their welfare.

The animal homelessness crisis is a devastating reality that affects millions of innocent animals worldwide. Every day, approximately 6-8 million dogs, cats, and other companion animals enter shelters, with 2.5 million tragically euthanized due to overcrowding. Meanwhile, an estimated 70 million stray animals roam the streets of the US alone, struggling to survive without basic care, food, or love. 

The number of stray animals is growing, and it’s becoming a matter of urgent concern for both animal lovers and those concerned with public safety. Strays can become a risk to public health, as they can carry diseases.

Through this petition, we are requesting our local government to implement more comprehensive stray animal protection laws and procedures. This includes providing more resources to animal shelters, advocating for spaying and neutering to prevent the stray population from increasing, and promoting responsible pet ownership.
