The more information that comes to light the more appalled I am...And the more grateful I am to each and every one of you who has signed the petition and stands with us FOR the ponies.

We are working behind the scenes to keep up the pressure on the authorities and making sure there is accountability surrounding this market.

If certain owners really believe that these ponies can manage without water - when was the last time they had water before the market?   The vast majority went without on the day...and the auctioneers reported in their sale report that buyers were back from Wales and Ireland - who were returning after some years away from the sale.  Buyers were also from Cumbria, Essex, Kent and Northumberland.  These are seriously long journeys from Devon.

We noticed that the dealers from Ireland etc disappeared from this market after the horse meat scandal broke.  We'd posted on Facebook before the market that we noticed numbers of ponies at the sale are back up to the numbers of the horse meat scandal days.  No-one knows for sure where all these ponies at the market are headed...

All we do know is that semi feral ponies, particularly the adults, do not have many people with the skills to handle and tame them.

The ponies deserve better!  Thank you everyone for signing to support our petition and please keep sharing for the ponies!  Now the market is over they think we'll give up and go away so please do keep the momentum going and share if you can!
