End animal cruelty in Iowa

End animal cruelty in Iowa
The Issue
Many of us have likely seen the recent news out of northwest Iowa, where over 100 dogs and a few children were removed from a deeply concerning situation involving severe neglect. Whether this incident is classified as hoarding or gross negligence, it remains absolutely unacceptable.
The welfare of both the animals and the children involved must be a top priority. Sadly, this situation is yet another stark reminder of the lack of meaningful protections for animals in Iowa. Despite repeated incidents (hoarding, backyard breeders, puppy mills, etc.) , our lawmakers have failed to take adequate action to prevent such cruelty and continue to contribute to our country's over flowing shelters.
We can and must do better. If you believe Iowa's animals deserve stronger protection, please consider signing this petition. Let’s send a clear message to our elected officials: Iowans care about animals—and we demand change.
