The issue:

Millions of animals—rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, and others—suffer and die each year in the testing of cosmetics and personal care products. These animals are subjected to painful and often lethal procedures, such as skin and eye irritation tests, to assess the safety and efficacy of products ranging from shampoos and lotions to mascara and lipstick. This practice is not only cruel but also increasingly unnecessary, as scientifically valid and humane alternatives exist.

Why This Matters:

What We Demand:

We demand an immediate end to all animal testing for cosmetics and personal care products globally.  We call upon cosmetics companies to commit to cruelty-free practices, utilize available humane testing methods, and actively promote transparency in their supply chains.  We urge regulatory bodies to strengthen legislation prohibiting animal testing and to enforce existing regulations effectively.
