END ANIMAL ABUSE INCLUSIVE OF ANIMALS USED IN ENTERTAINMENT
For those that wasted their money on films such as “Cocaine Bear.” Please consider this: If the film were titled “Cocaine sex trafficked woman,” or “Cocaine abused child,” would you still give it your money.
The actual Cocaine Bear, is the true story of a 175-pound American black bear that overdosed on cocaine in 1985. The cocaine had been dropped by drug smugglers in the wilderness in Tennessee. The bear was found dead in northern Georgia and later stuffed and displayed at a mall in Kentucky. This kind of horrific treatment of an animal is now an “action-comedy” film developed by Universal Pictures and directed by actress, Elizabeth Banks. As if animals aren’t treated badly enough. Humans have to make a film and laugh at their suffering. Peter Cramer (President) and Donna Langley (Chairperson) of Universal Pictures, Elizabeth Banks and that entire crew’s ignorance, lack of respect and compassion for a species that is on the brink of endangered is remarkable and nothing to marvel at.
This disgusting display of stupidity should never have been made. What Universal and Ms. Banks could have done was make a documentary on what happened to an innocent life due to human greed/drug trafficking, and how the life of an animal is as important as any other life and needs to be respected and protected. This animal was a living, feeling, breathing being trying to survive in a world where humans build on their homes and hunt them, even while they sleep. It’s time for those humans with the highest of conscience and intelligence, that understand the importance and power of the animal/human bond, to take a stand for our animal life, to be stronger than animal abusers, and call for a complete end of animal abuse inclusive of animals used for entertainment. There is enough ugliness in this world. Watching a group of unfeeling, amoral individuals make fun of animal suffering only adds more.
For the sake of what this animal endured because of human greed, end animal abuse inclusive of animals used for entertainment
The only true darkness in this world are those humans that enslave and cause suffering to an animal. Even worse are those humans who mitigate or make fun of such suffering. There are no walls between humans and animals except those we put up ourselves. Until we allow all living creatures their place in the sun, we can never be whole ourselves.
