End Animal Abuse and Help Stop Animal Meat Trade Practices Around The World

The Issue

As a cat owner, I am heartbroken to witness the harsh reality of animal abuse and cruelty that exists around the world today, particularly within China's meat trade industry. My three beloved cats are part of my family, and the thought of them experiencing such unthinkable cruelty brings me to tears and further strengthens my resolve to see these practices end.

In China, an estimated 10 million dogs and 4 million cats are slaughtered each year for meat, often undergoing extremely inhumane conditions beforehand. These innocent creatures deserve a life of love, compassion, and respect, rather than pain, suffering, and death. It is also important to note that the demand for feline and canine meat in the nation is waning, with a 2016 survey revealing that approximately 52% of China's population do not consume this type of meat, and 70% claimed that they had never tried it.

Enacting stricter animal rights laws and regulations can put an end to this horrific industry and promote more compassionate practices. We must raise our voices to combat these injustices and promote a world in which all animals—regardless of species—are treated with the kindness and compassion they deserve.

Please sign this petition to call on China's government to take action against animal abuse and inhumane meat trade practices, and to enact stronger animal protection laws. Together, we can make a difference.
