When you want people to take you seriously, you have to be genuine and courteous. Sometimes it is a little copy and paste here or a little handwritten note there. Other times it is a soapbox and a bullhorn! It really just depends. Thanks to Change.org. I can stick with the digital writings more often than not. Once we get over a hundred signatures, then I will have to go talk to the pencil pushers and potentially even some major lobbyists. I am no politician, but I do have respect for what they do (when they do it right). This is our way of reaching them when the investors are kind of keeping us from doing so the old fashioned way. The investors at Change.org seem to have the right intentions. That is good! We need more than a website to get through this, though. We need community. We need action. We need each other!
If we are going to get the message out there, we need to show people that this petition already has over ten legitimate signatures. As it gets more, there will surely be some spam out there, but Change.org has filters that can verify the genuine signatures when it comes time for review by our decision makers. Until then, we need to be open and honest with those who will support us in the beginning. Daily e-mails are a bit much in 2025, so I try to reach out to you guys no more than a few times a week here. You can always see more on my social pages! If you know someone that could use the knowledge of this petition as a pick-me-up today, share it with them. If today is not so good, try tomorrow! If you are a member of a club or organization that might have good reason to get involved, let your local leaders know who we are. Did your best friend in college care about this kind of junk? If they are still in town, it might be time to give them a call. What I am saying is that we need all the help that we can get. If not today, then the next day. If not then, maybe next week? No one knows what will come of this, but we will never find out if we never try.
Don't know anyone to call? No stamps for the post? That is okay! You are probably on a computer right now anyways. Look up your local news stations and send them an e-mail with "PITCH" in the subject line detailing your particular interest in this petition. It would be a good way for you to get your name out there (if you are comfortable and safe doing so) and to show your support for this cause. It would allow more people who may not normally use Change.org to discover something new! There are so many ways we can boost morale and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most. It is good to do, and it may change a life. Newspapers, magazine companies, television stations, and radio hosts might just have their own personal reasons to support and/or debate this petition publicly. They have the tools and the resources needed to really make it happen. Maybe you have a favorite content creator or you follow a social influencer who responds to this kind of thing. Drop a comment on their page or send it to their manager and see what happens! We are all in this together, and we can make it happen. With patience for integral motions and dedication for honest change, we can see to it that something educational comes out of this at the very least. I hope that you will consider the ideas listed in this update and that you might share a link to the update so that others can see how this all really works. It would also be another good way to get the conversation started. Thank you for your consideration!
