The Issue

Let's bring "All That's Left Of You," Jordan's Official Entry for the 98th Academy Awards and multiple international awards-winning film, to our hi-desert theater Paradigm Cinemas! Our one-and-only beloved local theater, Paradigm Cinemas, passed on the film when the distributors reached out because it's a crowded time period and they didn't think there was enough local interest. Let's gather signatures and show them there is plenty of interest and that we as a community support a multiple-showing screening and would buy tickets (and refreshments!) to see it.

This film tells the story of a Palestinian teenager who becomes involved in a protest in the Occupied West Bank, experiencing violence that deeply affects his family and community.

In our community, there's interest in films that challenge our perspectives and expand our understanding of world events. Screening "All That's Left Of You" at our local theater would not only satisfy this craving but could also serve as an opportunity to foster dialogue and awareness about the struggles and resilience of many living under occupation and violence.

Films like this bring up vital, often overlooked narratives that are crucial for fostering empathy and understanding. Moreover, the film's selection for such a prestigious award underscores its artistic merit and the importance of its message, ensuring it deserves a spot on our theater's schedule.

Our local theater has the ability to connect us to global stories of profound impact. Join me in urging the theater owner to screen "All That's Left Of You." If you're a local, please sign this petition to bring this important film to our community space, where it can inspire conversations and understanding.
