In 2025, Lionsgate will hold the worldwide physical rights for these specials under license from WildBrain. This move is significant as David Zaslav's tenure led to an unfortunate downturn for Warner Bros., the previous distributor. So, the transfer of rights couldn't come sooner.

The agreement includes a promise to remaster all the specials in 16K Ultra HD to be distributed on 4K UHD Blu-ray. Furthermore, the new Apple TV+ Original Peanuts specials are also included in this release. This new development safeguards the legacy of Charles M. Schulz’s beloved characters, ensuring that the Peanuts will continue to touch people's lives for many more years to come.

The creation of the 'Peanuts Digital Studios,' a venture planned by Lionsgate Studios and Peanuts Worldwide, is expected to facilitate these 16K releases. This commitment to enhancing and preserving the quality of the Peanuts collection assures fans of a worthy tribute to their favourite characters.

I am requesting Lionsgate to adhere to this plan and acquire the physical rights to the entire Peanuts catalog. We cannot let these animations continue under a distributorship that could potentially compromise their quality or accessibility.
