Encourage Kroger to build a store in Crestview, Florida

The Issue

I grew up shopping at Kroger, and for years it was the only place my family chose for our weekly groceries. From the freshness of the produce to the value of the private-label brands and fuel rewards program, Kroger set the standard for what grocery shopping should feel like. Since moving to Crestview, Florida from the North, one of the biggest adjustments has been the absence of that option. While we’re grateful for the stores here, our choices are largely limited to Walmart, which is often overcrowded and lacks the specialty selection we prefer, and Publix, which offers a great experience but can be cost-prohibitive for everyday family shopping. Crestview deserves the balance of quality, affordability, and variety that Kroger consistently delivers.

Crestview is the largest city in Okaloosa County and continues to experience steady residential growth fueled by military families, commuters, and new housing development.

Why Crestview Is a Prime Site

  • Immediate access to Interstate 10 and State Road 85, capturing high daily commuter traffic
  • Proximity to Eglin Air Force Base and Duke Field, serving thousands of military families
  • Regional draw from nearby communities such as Niceville, Baker, DeFuniak Springs, and surrounding areas
  • Strong visibility and anchor potential along a major transportation corridor
  • Opportunity to establish a strong flagship presence in a high-growth corridor, creating a scalable foundation for future expansion into surrounding Northwest Florida markets
  • A Crestview Kroger would serve the expanding residential base while capturing commuter, military, and regional shopper demand in a centralized, high-traffic location.

Crestview represents a growing, underpenetrated market positioned for long-term success. We respectfully ask Kroger’s Real Estate and Market Development teams to conduct a formal site evaluation for a South Crestview store.

Our rooftops are here. Our traffic is here. And our families are ready to shop Kroger locally.

Please bring Kroger to Crestview.
