Upon vacationing in Georgia our family witnessed the horrific transportation methods and care given to the chickens raised for Tyson. As we sat at a stop light one of Tysons transport semi trucks number 20844 loaded down with chickens pulled next to us. Our family was able to see first hand the filthy chickens and the red irritated skin of the birds where their tail feathers had been ripped out. Their twisted legs looked painful and the birds over all appearance was very unsightly and disturbing. The transport truck used had open sides so these birds had little to no protection from the outside elements as they were sped along down the highway towards their destination. The treatment of these chickens does not have to be this way.

Please join in calling on Tyson Foods Inc. to end this abuse at its facilities; including means of transportation, in favor of less cruel systems that eliminate the horrific suffering caused by the mistreatment of these animals while they are alive.

It is caring people like you who sign petitions and use them as an extension of your voice that make changes happen. It is our duty as human beings to speak out for the voiceless.  Great changes have already been seen at some of the biggest food companies in North America. Changes so important to animal welfare that it has had a significant reduction on the suffering of animals used in our food industry, so we know our voices can be heard. Sadly with all the efforts it has not been quite enough and more change is needed to stamp out food companies willful blindness to these animals quality of life. It is true that our voices can create change!
