The world stately needs more trees. According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, we lose about 18.7 million acres of forests per year, the equivalent of 27 soccer fields every minute. The loss not only disrupts biodiversity but exacerbates climate change, as forests absorb 30% of our annual CO2 emissions. We can no longer ignore the role each individual can play in addressing this issue.
