The Issue

Watching our children grow up together and form deep, irreplaceable bonds is one of the greatest joys of parenthood. Recently, we've learned that my son's best friend, whom he has shared countless adventures with in parks, school, and our community, is preparing to move away from Kaysville. For families in close-knit neighborhoods like ours, this kind of change can be incredibly emotional and challenging.

Kaysville, with its safe streets, excellent schools, family-friendly events, and supportive community, is more than just a place on the map; it's where lifelong memories are made. Yet, rising costs and certain economic pressures might make staying a challenging choice for some families. It's crucial to preserve the relationships and community ties that make Kaysville a wonderful place to live.

To prevent situations where families feel compelled to move away, there are some steps we can take as a community.

First, we can advocate for local policies that offer more support to families, such as affordable housing initiatives, cost-of-living workshops, and increased community engagement programs. Working closely with our local government could foster an environment where financial challenges become less of a burden.

Second, we can also form a support network for families considering relocation. By connecting them with resources, advice, or job opportunities within Kaysville, we can encourage them to reconsider and help alleviate some of their concerns.

Let's come together to keep our friends and neighbors close, ensuring our children can grow up surrounded by familiar faces and cherished relationships. Sign this petition to encourage local leaders to explore and implement solutions that will support families and encourage them to stay in Kaysville.
