Encourage DMO Developers to Decrease Gacha Prices and Introduce Free Pulls
Das Problem
As a player of the Digimon Masters Online (DMO) game, I am unsatisfied with the high costs associated with the Gacha pulls. Requiring up to €1000 for a guaranteed pull (the "pity" system), it becomes extremely difficult for me, and surely many others, to fully engage with a game we love with this pay-to-win model precluding desired progress and gameplay.
To add to this, attracting new players, friends even, to the game becomes a challenge due to the monumentally high paywall that has been erected. It's a barrier separating us from a game we appreciate and would love to enjoy more seamlessly.
This petition seeks to inspire the DMO developers to reduce Gacha pull prices by 75%. Such a move would not only make the game more accessible to more players but would also enhance the gaming experience for current fans. A reduction would mean the pitifully high 'pity' cost comes down to a much more manageable €200-€250 range.
Additionally, I urge the developers to introduce options for free pulls through gameplay and farming Digimon. There are precedents in the gaming industry for farming systems to earn rewards, especially in gacha-based games, where it can help maintain a strong engagement from all player base levels.
We value DMO and acknowledge the role of revenue in development and maintenance. Still, a healthy balance needs to be built where game lovers aren't left feeling locked out due to economically restrictive barriers. Accessibility and enjoyment should not be exclusively the purview of those able to spend large amounts to progress and enjoy fully.
Let's make DMO more inclusive. Sign this petition to show your support for decreasing gacha prices and introducing gameplay-based free pulls.
