I believe in our nation's capacity for change and growth. However, I fear for our future if the majority of the Senate continues to be "red". A beacon of hope in our political landscape perhaps lies in the untapped potential of the mayors of our towns and cities who are Democrats.

Take Michelle Wu of Boston and Cherelle Parker of Philadelphia for instance. These Democratic mayors preside over their respective cities with a deep understanding of societal issues and tangible solutions to address them. Their hegemony over large urban areas and the respect they command from their citizens are precisely the qualities desirable in a Senate candidate.

Moreover, it's worth noting that even traditionally "red" states have many cities governed by Democrat mayors. This suggests that if these mayors were to run for the Senate, they would have an authentic chance at winning, thereby tilting the balance favorably towards the Democrats.
