Line 3 is an oil pipeline expansion proposed by the Canadian corporation: Enbridge. 

This pipeline carries millions of barrels of oil from Alberta, Canada, to Lake Superior in Minnesota each day. Not only is it aiding large corporations in destroying our planet, but it also defies multiple Indigenous treaties.

Line 3 is a human rights violation and here is why:

1. This pipeline would go through multiple Native nations, including Anishinaabe wetlands. The pipeline will spill, it is not a matter of if but when, and when it does it will contaminate these Native people's land and water. It will kill fish and destroy agriculture, like the rice fields the Anishinaabe people need to survive. 

2. There is already an existing Line 3 pipeline that is an extreme danger to Northern Minnesotans. Enbridge just wants to completely abandon this decaying pipeline and build an even bigger and worse one. We cannot let this happen for the damage this pipeline will do, will contribute more to climate change than Minnesota's whole economy. There is no legislature in place in the US that prevents a large corporation from abandoning a pipeline. WE HAVE TO HOLD ENBRIDGE ACCOUNTABLE!

3. The building of this proposed extension brings the entry of "man camps" to Indigenous lands. These man camps are extremely dangerous hubs for sex trafficking, and these only make the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women epidemic worse. We have to protect Minnesota land and water, as well as it's Indigenous women. 

4. Right now as we speak, grassroot organizations and Indigenous tribes are fighting for their lives as they try and prevent the building of this toxic pipeline. Militarized police have been sent to arrest and torment peaceful protesters with tear gas and rubber bullets. Many activists have been beaten or arrested, and they need our help.
