Enact these Acts to Liberate us Kids
The Issue
Bill proposals
The Free School Act
The Kids with Stable Independence Act (name up for change)
Call for action
I believe we need to demand the officials responsible for the school status quo, perhaps the State and local school boards, replace it with an anarchist free school system. Don't let me lose you there: I'll explain later to the best of my ability why that's not a "chaotic" or problematic solution whatsoever, like what the State has taught you to think.
I also believe we should demand the State and community fund a new effective youth protective system for kids like me who wish to live independently with the right resources provided to us, after we make it so that Congress isn't spending our taxes and state money on genocide.
Explanation
For my first few signers, I think I had this petition promise the reformation of the school system and CPS. But now I don't think reformation would work. I want us to dismantle and replace them entirely. I don't think they do a good job on protecting us youth. CPS is limited to the government's unconstitutional determination of what's abuse and what's not, but even if abuse is acknowledged, their job is to either compromise with the abuser or take the kid to another guardian, whether they want it or not. That's not good. They should also be able to take care of themselves, to be given the resources they need to do so (and APPLA isn't the best with resources).
The school cannot be reformed because its core purpose is to maintain hierarchy and power over us, and our education is purposefully limited from things we need to be learning about the world by curricula. So I believe the solution would be an anarchist free school system. It would allow for adults and youth alike to be teachers and students, unrestricted learning, and free association instead of compulsion.
We may not be able to use this to make change obediently—it's a big stretch. But we can use the amount of signatures for this petition to show people that enough of us care, that we can make change all by ourselves, together.
